28^th October 2017 - Little Stoke blow away Wick

Shock of the day was the 8-0 thrashing that Little Stoke inflicted on Wick. The home side adapted to the conditions better than their visitors especially in the first half with Wick never able to contend with the strong wind blowing straight down the pitch. The home side showed their intention right from the off and Sam Hill should have scored after just 7 minutes. Just 2 minutes later it was 1-0 to Stoke and it came down the left side with the ball being slipped over to Nick Rugman to chip the ball over Edmunds. Wick almost levelled 2 minutes later when home keeper Amin Jones some how kept the ball out from a great shot from Mike Hardiman. The home side were handling the conditions much better than the visitors and another ball up to Matt Simons saw Stoke 2-0 up on 20 minutes. Just 2 minutes later it was three a free kick taken by Kieran Williams played in short for Sam Hill to nip in and make it 3-0. Stoke made it 4-0 on 24 minutes from a 25 yard free kick from Jordan Yeo that Edmunds failed to hold and Kieran William nipped in to hammer the bal home. The home side were rampant and Wick just could not cope and on 30 minutes they were trailing 5-0 after a long ball down the left found Nick Rugman to neatly chip Edmunds. The visitors had a great chance to pull one back on 34 minutes from a low cross into box from the right which was met by Dan Shelton but he drove the ball into the side netting. The visitors were trying to get back in the game and a great shot from Harry Madge was well saved by Jones and after being half cleared saved again from Gregg Rogers. Rugman had a further chance to increase the lead for the home side but Edmonds got a hand to his shot and it was cleared off the line.

With the wind still blowing very strong in the second half it was a chance for Wick to try and get back in the game, but even though Hardiman was on target early on Jones was in no mood to let anything pass. In fact it was the home side who had a great chance on 57 minutes when Rugman was heading for goal tried to round the keeper but Edmunds eventually save the day. The home side went further ahead on 70 minutes from a break down the right the ball shot through a crowd of players and left full back Todd Brunt squeezed the ball home. At the other end Hardiman struck the Stoke crossbar but on 81 minutes it was 7-0 as Brunt found Simons down the left and Ethan Tucker’s shot took a deflection on its way into the net. Then 2 minutes in to time added after the 90 minutes were up Little Stoke scored an eighth from a break down the left and Dean Patterson forced the ball home from the cross. This will certainly be one to forget for Wick and one to savour for Little Stoke.

Thornbury Town and Lebeq United both won today but Town stay top but have played two games more.

The visitors to The Mundy Playing fields today were Patchway Town who are at present propping up the table. The early exchanges were fairly even and it went to the 34^th minute before Thornbury opened the scoring. It came from a corner to the far post where Brandon Benjamin was waiting to head home. That lead only lasted 6 minutes as Patchway hit back to level when Rob Foster rose at the far post to head home. Thornbury retook the lead on 42 minutes from across into the box that the visitors keeper failed to grasp and Lancastle bundled it in. A minute into the second half a Jim Brock free kick that went straight to Mark Viner to turn and fire the ball into the Patchway net. The home side went 4-1 up on 60 minutes when Brandon Benjamin broke into the box was brought down and Craig Lancastle netted the resulting Penalty. Marcus Wormwell's long diagonal run resulting the a great shot into the far corner of the net and then on 85 minutes Lancastle scored again to complete his hattrick.

Five goals at Gala Wilton but Lebeq United scored the odd one to take the points 3-2. Not a lot happened in the first 45 minutes but in the 53^rd minute a defensive lapse by the visitors allowed Ryan Dobins to run clear and score. Lebeq levelled on 61 minutes when Twaine Plummer found some space in the box hit a shot with no beef behind it at goal and as the home keeper dived to save it took a bobble over his hands and into the net. On 67 minutes the visitors went 2-1 up a cross into the box found Rick Davis but it took two attempts on goal before he found the back of the net. On 78 minutes United went further ahead from a low cross into the box and Plummer somehow back heeled the ball into the net. The home side got their second right on time a cross into the Lebeq box that was pounced on by Adam Hemmings to volley home from 12 yards.

Frampton United came away with the three points from Southmead CS Athletic after going ahead after just 9 minutes Ryan Vincent netting from the penalty spot. The next goal did not arrive until the 72 minute when Southmead were caught out on a free kick and Vincent ran though to net his second. The home side went down to ten men on 86 minutes Gary Booth receiving a straight red card for a bad tackle. United scored their final goal right on 90 minutes from a free kick that was met by Jack Bartman to head home.

Henbury are not having the best of things at present and went down 3-1 at home to Stonehouse Town. In fact they found themselves a goal down after just 2 minutes from a great run down the right flank and a low cross into the box that was swept in by Luke Soule. This was the start of a good afternoon for Soule as he went on to score two further goals to complete a hattrick. The home side went 2-0 down on 20 minutes when Soule beat the offside to run clear and round the keeper for a simple tap in. The home side hit back and efforts from Adam Rosser one wide and the second had the visitor’s keeper saving well. Just on half time Henbury’s George Loud had a great chance to pull a goal back but his effort wet over the bar. Peter Jarrett should have scored for Henbury on the hour mark but hit his shot over. On 79 minutes Luke Soule completed his hattrick and at the other end Matt Bennett missed a good chance but made up for it in the 83^rd minute when he pulled a goal back for Henbury.

AEK Boco and Hardwicke had to be satisfied with a point each in a 1-1 draw at Greenbank. The home side were unlucky in the 12^th minute when Jordan Scott had his effort cleared off the line. Hardwicke lost striker Will Matthews on 15 minutes with a bad cut to his chin. Hardwicke took the lead from a corner to the far post that was headed back across goal by Mark Carter and then headed into the net by Glenn Gittins. The home side levelled on 37 minutes when Jack Winter latched onto Luke Basseng through ball. Luke Sperring squandered to good chanced to put the home side in front and in the second period the home side had most of the play but could not score.

Ruardean Hill Rangers won there home game with Rockleaze Rangers by four goals to nil. Kane Fellows put them ahead on 20 minutes following in from Luke Johnson effort. Then on 30 minutes Johnson struck the crossbar. Ruardean went 2-0 up on 50 minutes after Kane Fellows shot came back of the bar foe Shaun Tingle to knock home. 3 minutes later Tingle flicked the ball through for Luke Johnson to score and Tingle scored again on 69 minutes this time it was Luke Brown who supplied the pass. Rockleaze finished with ten men when Carl Lakey was dismissed for a second card.

Les James League Cup Round 1

Kingswood are through to the second round of the league Cup after drawing 2-2 with Hanham Athletic but winning the shoot out 2-1. This game had to be played at Hanham as Kingswood’s pitch was unavailable. Kingswood’s Ben Foxwell wasted to great chances to score early on and then Hanham took the lead on 12 minutes when Adam Grinter lobbed the keeper. That lead lasted just 5 minutes as Jamie Packer headed Kingswood level. Hanham retook the lead on 27 minutes from a Giovanni Fisher cross that was turned in by Chester Perks. Kingswood keeper Chris Fox then brought of a great save from and Adam Grinter scissors kick to keep them in the game. A mistake by Hanham’s Sam Brown let Matt Poole in to level with just 5 minutes to go. The game ended all square and the match was decided from the penalty spot with Kingswood going through to play Stonehouse Town away.

21^st October 2017 - Kingswood and Henbury share the points

On the worst day of the season weather wise the leaders Thornbury Town were held to a draw by Wick.

At the bottom of the table Hanham Athletic swap places with Patchway Town who now find themselves on the bottom of the table.

The game between Kingswood and Henbury finished 2-2 with all the goals coming in the first 45 minutes. Henbury flew out of the starting blocks and pinned the home side back right from the off. Jack Mills attempt on goal after 4 minutes had keeper Chris Fox pushing the ball away. The home side were struggling to settle down and could not get out of their own half and this pressure by Henbury paid off after 8 minutes following a corner a low cross into the Kingswood box was turned in by Ross Johnson. The visitors continued to press and it took the home side until the 28^th minute to muster an attack on the visitor’s goal a shot that was easily taken by Henbury Keeper Dan O’Brien. Fox was in action again and did well to save but from that a move through the middle and a long ball out to the left found Andrew Elcock who pulled the ball back from the by-line and Nick Bishop drove the ball home. 3 minutes later Kingswood were in front a long ball knocked into the centre just outside the box was misjudged by the Henbury defence and Mason Lewis coolly chipped the ball over O’Brien. On 41 minutes Henbury were reduced to 10 men when Dan Dodimead was sent off. Kingswood’s Reece Provis had a great chance to increase the lead but with a clear shot on goal pulled it wide. Henbury levelled the score right on half time from a quickly taken free kick on the half way line that was played into Adam Rosser who controlled the ball and then hit a tremendous 25 yard shot across Fox into the far corner.

Even though Henbury were down to 10 men they pushed the home side really hard right from the start of the second half and Kingswood found themselves on the back foot again. Henbury almost took the lead on 56 minutes when Jack Mills hit a rasping dipping shot at the home goal and only a brilliant save from Fox prevented it going in. Fox saved again from another hard shot from Jack Mills on 67 minutes. An Adam Rosser free kick got through the wall but Fox was there to tidy up. In the 77^th minute the home side got their first shot on target in the second had a low drive from the left side of the box from Elcock that was well saved by O’Brien. Kingswood almost stole the three points right on time as the ball came into the box Mason Lewis got his shot away but it hit the upright.

Hanham Athletic recorded their first win of the season with a 5-0 victory over Gala Wilton. Unfortunately Hanham’s Liam Robson broke his leg on 73 minutes and the game was held up for some time until the ambulance arrived. Earlier Robson had gone close on 10 minutes but the attempt went just over. Just 3 minutes later the home side took the lead from the penalty spot after Giovanni Fisher had been upended in the box and Craig Sperring sent the Gala keeper the wrong way. On 55 minutes Tom Welling went close and then 5 minutes later a great solo effort from Liam Robson made it 2-0. On 67 minutes the home side went 3-0 up after a Gala defender handled in the box and Craig Sperring netted his second penalty of the afternoon. Then came the incident that left Robson with a broken leg a fair tackle an unfortunate ending. The game was then held up for some time and at the restart Ben Francis score from close range to make it 4-0. Francis then netted a second after Adam Grinters shot came back off the bar.

Hardwicke have moved into second place after beating local rivals Frampton United. Only one real scoring chance in the first 45 minutes and that fell to Frampton’s Nathan Dennis who struck the upright from a free kick. Paul Carter did hit the crossbar for the home side on 55 minutes and at the other end Matt Cook hit the bar for Frampton. Tobie Webb put the home side in front with a 25 yard shot and a few minutes later Will Matthews shot was saved by keeper with Webb picking up the rebound and was then brought down in the box by keeper Marklove for a penalty that was slotted home by Paul Carter. Hardwicke brought on Craig Harris in the 77^th minute and he had an immediate impact when Glen Gittins sent Harris clear down the flank he cut in rounded the keeper and slotted the ball in for a 3-0 lead. Jamie Reid almost made it four but his 30 yard drive went just the wrong side of the post.

A 2-1 victory for Stonehouse Town over Ruardean Hill Rangers helped move them a little further up the table. The home side had much the better of the first 45 minutes and led 2-0 at the break. New signing Lewis Fogg hit the crossbar mid-way through the half and a couple of minutes later his shot across goal was pushed away for a corner. Barney Jones took the corner and with the help of the wind caught the keeper out and the ball went straight in to put them 1-0 up. Tim Williams then had a couple of shots saved then in the 32^nd minute Adam Ireland was felled in the box and then got up and coolly slotted the spot kick home. Further attempts by Andy Maryon and Lee Keveren might well have increased the lead but were saved by the visitor’s keeper. The visitors limited the home side to a couple of chances in the second period with Keveren hitting the bar. Ruardean pulled a goal back late in the game their captain Luke Brown on target.

Rockleaze Rangers v Southmead CS Athletic who both play on the same pitch for their home games met for the first time today and Southmead who were the away team on this occasion ran out 2-0 winners. Rangers might have taken the lead on 8 minutes after a Marcus Williams free kick found Cameron Love on the far post but his effort hit the bar. At the other end Frank Stallard’s shot was just over. Williams had another chance for Rangers on 40 minutes but shot wide. Southmead went ahead on 50 minutes from a through ball to Ernesto Correia whose shot was saved by Ashley Newman but Frank Stallard following in drove the ball home. Southmead got a second on 75 minutes from a Gary Booth free kick that became a scramble in the box with Stallard coolly knocking in his second.

Patchway Town drop to bottom of the table after going down 4-0 at home to Broadwell Amateurs. On 29 minutes Broadwell’s Liam Thomas missed an absolute sitter but within a minute scored a cracking goal to put the Amateurs 1-0 up. It remained that way until the 52^nd minute when Paul Mann’s scored from the penalty spot. Patchway’s David Ishi was just wide with a header on 60 minutes. The visitors went 3-0 up on 77 minutes with a strike from Harry Williams and Liam Thomas got his second on 84 minutes with a shot from the edge of the box.

Thornbury Town travelled to Wick for what was always going to be a very close encounter and that is what it turned out to be. Both teams failing to find the back of the net. From the report the home side created most of the chances whilst Thornbury did most of the defending with the town keeper pulling off some great saves. Hardiman had several good chances for the home side and had a late effort cleared off the line by the Thornbury defence.

14^th October 2017 - Thornbury extend lead aty top as Hardwicke cause cup shock

Only two league matches played today as most of the Clubs were involved in the GFA Challenge Trophy Cup.

Leaders Thornbury Town entertained Kingswood in a game that was a credit to the league played in a great spirit from both sides and only 9 fouls throughout the game. It was a game where the home side had the lion’s share of possession that saw Kingswood defending their goal for much of it. Thornbury are well organised side with all their players very comfortable on the ball and who like to drive forward at every opportunity. In the early stages of the game it was Kingswood who pushed forward and a long ball from Adam Eldridge was headed just over by Matt Poole. Town’s reply was a couple of shots from Dave Jones and Marcus Wormwell that was hit well over the bar. The first real scoring chance fell to the home side on 8 minutes a cracking shot from the edge of the box by Nathan Sage that keeper Chris Fox did really well to keep out. Town were pushing all the time and a great shot from Joe Guest was saved by Fox but it flew straight to Dave Jones but his control let him down. A few minutes later Brandon Benjamin should have done better with a clear shot on goal that went past the upright.

Thornbury went ahead in the 29^th minute from the penalty spot which stemmed from a great run into the box by Wormwell before being brought down; Craig Lancastle was given the opportunity from the spot and coolly slotted home. The second goal for town had an element of luck about it as the ball was hit goal-wards took a deflection to Lancastle who fired home from close range.

The home side continued where they left off at half time and 2 minutes into the second half Lancastle hit a tremendous shot at goal from around 10 yards only to see keeper Fox pull off a fantastic save. Kingswood rallied and from a break away were unlucky not to have pulled a goal back as Matt Poole’s shot beat Sheppard in the home goal but struck the upright and eventually cleared. The visitors rallied and made several ventures into the Thornbury half giving the home defence some work to do. Town should have scored again on 62 minutes when Tom Webb broke down the left squared the ball across the six yard box but Scott McLeod fumbled his kick. Kingswood took 76 minutes before they had their first corner of the match and Town had to be at their best to get the ball away. Kingswood’s Jamie Packer hit the target with a good shot but Sheppard saved comfortably. On 83 minutes town made it 3-0 a cracking goal from left back Tom Webb cutting back to edge of the box before unleashing a shot that flew into the bottom far corner Fox did get a hand to it but it made no difference. Webb was involved in the last and final goal on86 minutes as he broke down the left pulled the ball back it was flicked on and reached Asher Budd who hooked a left footed shot past Fox from 12 yards. With just a minute left in the 90 minutes Fox pulled of another fantastic save to deny Brandon Benjamin.

Gala Wilton won for the second week running whilst AEK Boco suffered their second defeat in two matches. Gala went ahead on 3 minutes from a great cross into the box that Alex Pritchard raced onto and hammered the ball home. Boco levelled on 24 minutes through Jason Thatcher. Gala grabbed the winner on 67 minutes from a break and a good ball into the box that was hit well by Mark Mason only to see it rebound to Ryan Dobbins to drive it home.

The fixture between Lebeq United and Broadwell Amateurs was postponed due to unavailability of the pitch.

GFA Challenge Trophy Round 2

There were 8 Clubs from the County League involved in the GFA Cup today with 4 of them progressing to the next round.

Frampton United were the biggest scorers of the day hitting seven into the Newent Town net with the home side netting two. United started well and scored after 3 minutes a Nathan Dennis cross put away by Manolo Marquez Espada. Tom Parnells cross on 27 minutes was finished off by Ryan Vincent and 2 minutes later Parnell hit the bottom corner to make it 3-0. A penalty for the visitors on 32 minutes Stuart Maule floored in the box but Matt Cook hit his penalty wide. Newent pulled a goal back on 46 minutes through Daryl Bayliss but 2 minutes later Vincent scored his second. Frampton’s Manolo Marquez Espada netted his second before Newnt got a second on 62 minutes Bayliss heading home his second. Jonathan Lewis was then brought down for a second penalty to Frampton and Vincent made no mistake from the spot to complete his hattrick. Then Manolo completed his hattrick on 73 minutes.

Hardwicke are through to the next round after beating Roman Glass St George from the Toolstation League. Hardwicke got a break just 7 minutes into the game when Ben Harvey’s back pass fell short of keeper Josh Dempsey who pulled down Will Matthews as he tried to round him for a penalty. Matthews took the penalty Dempsey saved but Matthews following up scored. The visitors hit back with a fine strike from Rahim Reahem before the break to level the score. The home side hit the crossbar on 67 minutes. Hardwicke took the lead with a second penalty again it was Dempsey who gave it away pulling back Steve Bick as he tried to go round the keeper. This time Paul Carter took the spot kick and netted to make it 2-1. Hardwicke then had a player sent off very late in the game and then gave away a penalty in the 92^nd minute but keeper Chris Perks brought of a fantastic save to see Hardwicke through to the next round.

It was an all county league contest at Hanham Athletic as they entertained Patchway Town. Athletic’s Jamie Fry went close with a 35 yard drive early on and two Luke Simons shots was well saved by the visitor’s keeper. Hanham had a great chance to take the lead on 58 minutes Fisher being brought down in the box but Tom Welling missed the penalty. Against the run of play Patchway took the lead with a fine strike from Matt Davis on 75 minutes. That lead only lasted 2 minutes as the home side drew level through an own goal by the visitor’s. The game went to penalties and Patchway go through 5-4.

Rockleaze Rangers were knocked out by last years county league champions Bristol Telephones. Dhani Golding had an early chance for the visitors but shot straight at the keeper. Then Telephones keeper Ash Brown saved well from a Marcus Williams free kick. A minutes before the break the home side took the lead and it came from a cross by Cameron Love to the far post where Marcus Williams was waiting to net. Telephones got back into the game on 51 minutes from a Dhani Golding strike that took a deflection off Cameron love into his own net. The visitors grabbed the winner on 86 minutes when Leon Britton set up Ben Griffiths to drive the ball home.

Two more Clubs from the county league drawn against each other Little Stoke and Ruardean Hill Rangers. The home side had several early chances to take the lead but had to wait until the 44^th minute when Luke Sperring sent Sam Hill away and his cross to the far post was knocked in by Dean Patterson. Rangers levelled on 55 minutes from a long ball pumped up field by keeper Aaron Underwood that deceived the home defence and Luke Johnson ran through to score. The visitors then took a 2-1 lead as Luke Brown rounded a couple of defenders before driving the ball past Amin Jones. Sam Hill then hit the post for Stoke before the home side scored an equalising goal on 82 minutes Sam Hill’s cross being knocked home by Nick Rugman at the near post. The game went to penalties and Rangers came out on top 5-3.

Wick met Cirencester Town Development and went down by the odd goal in five. The visitors took the lead on 15 minutes after a defensive error by the home side. Although there were several opportunities for the home side to score after that mistake they levelled the score on 32 minutes when James Pocock scored from the edge of the box. The visitors retook the lead on 65 minutes from close range and went further ahead on 73 minutes. Wick netted a late goal on 90 minutes a Mike Hardiman shot hit the crossbar and Sam Baber knocked in the rebound.

7^th October 2017 - Frampton snatch late victory over AEK Boco

Thornbury Town are the new leaders after defeating Lebeq United.

Gala Wilton move off the bottom with their first win of the season.

Frampton United who led for 72 minutes of this game after going ahead from a corner scrambled home by Steve Jackson on 3 minutes found themselves on the back foot for a large proportion of this game. Boco were unlucky twice in the first half when Harrison Kyte struck the crossbar on 24 minutes and then a Kyte free kick from the left was headed onto the crossbar by Jack Winter on 37 minutes. In between Jordan Scott hit a low shot straight at keeper Frazer Wilson then in rare attack by the home side Stuart Maule could have made it 2-0 5 minutes before the break but headed over the bar.

Boco’s Brad Wheadon saw his shot on goal fisted away by Wilson in the first minute of the second half. Shots from Liam Jenkins and Liam Powell went just wide of the Frampton goal and at the other end a last ditch tackle from Boco defender Joe Reeves deflected Ryan Vincent’s shot out for a corner. Mid-way through the half the visitors were screaming for a penalty but the referee gave them a corner. Constant pressure from Boco saw the home defence just pumping long balls out of defence up to the one player left up field but it constantly came back, then a long ball from Boco keeper Joe Pople was headed on into the home box Frampton keeper came steaming of his line completely misjudged the bounce and Harrison Kyte was left with the simple task of sliding the ball into an empty net. With just 3 minutes left on the watch Frampton Substitute Jonathon Lewis broke into the Boco box got his shot on target but Pople had closed him down and the ball deflected off of the keeper for a corner. Right on time the home side had a great chance to make it 2-1 when Lewis got to the bye-line squared the ball back for Stuart Maule but he his shot wide. A minute into time added Frampton were awarded a corner on the right which was sent over to the far post by Manolo Marquez Espada and defender Jack Bartman rose above the Boco defence to send a bullet header past the keeper. Within a few seconds the game was over and Boco had suffered their first defeat of the season in the league.

After six straight wins Lebeq Unites winning run was ended by Thornbury Town who before today’s game were right behind them in the table. Town got of to a flying start and took the lead on 6 minutes from a Scott McLeod cross that found Craig Lancastle to turn inside his defender before driving the ball home. Marcus Wormwell then made it 2-0 when he quickly nipped onto a soft back pass by Lebeq. Right on half time the visitors pulled a goal back when Rick Davis made space for himself to drive a low shot through a crowd of players into the Thornbury net. Within 5 minutes of the second half the visitors were on level terms a cross into the box from the left was picked up by Abdirizak Hussein to slot the ball home. The visitors were having much more of the possession but failed to break through the home defence and then in the 85^th minute Marcel Smith who had come on as a substitute picked up a second yellow card for a foul and was dismissed. From the resulting free kick Toby Bennett sent in a cross that skimmed across the six yard box and Pete Fowler back heeled the ball into the net. A minute later Lebeq gave away a penalty when Bennett was floored in the box but then got up to drive the ball home from the penalty spot. This saw Thornbury move into top spot with Lebeq dropping to second.

Gala Wilton have moved up to third from bottom after this win over Rockleaze Rangers. A game that did not produce many scoring chances in either half, but some great skill from Ryan Dobbins gave the home side a 1-0 lead at the break. With neither side creating much in the way of chances it came as a great relief to the home side when Tom Dunford ran 50 yards before squaring the ball to Mark Mason to make it 2-0 and their first win of the season.

A second win of the season for Southmead CS Athletic with a 2-0 success over Stonehouse Town. Frank Stallard hit a double and should have scored a couple more according to the report. Stallard missed two great chances on 25 and 30 minutes and Gary Booth had his penalty saved by the visitor’s keeper on 50 minutes before Stallard broke the deadlock on 63 minutes. He netted his second on 75 minutes after being brought down in the box got up to net from the penalty spot.

Broadwell Amateurs got off to a flying start against today’s visitors Wick going ahead after just 5 minutes from a quick free kick that was played to Sam Keetch who then crossed for Harry Williams to head home. Wick got back in the game when Sam Thomas levelled with a diving header. Then on 82 minutes Broadwell got the winner from a long ball over the top that found Liam Thomas to make it 2-1.

Ruardean Hill Rangers playing only their second home game of the season and going down to AEK Boco in the first recorded their first home win in the County League with a 3-1 result over Kingswood. They had the ball in the net after 3 minutes but it was ruled out for offside, but 2 minutes later they were one up Kane Fellows heading home a Mitch Griffiths cross. Then came a string of chances for the home side but Kingswood keeper Chris Fox was in no mood to let another goal in as he brought off save after save. Kingswood equalised on 35 minutes when Jordan Sims volleyed home from the edge of the box. Fellow netted his second on 50 minutes a superb diving header from a Charlie Mason cross. The home side continued to create chances but Fox was in great form and it went into 2 minutes of added time before the home side got their third and final goal Luke Johnson cutting in from the flank before driving a low shot past Fox.

For the second week Hardwicke came back from two goals down and this time it was at Henbury who had taken the lead on 90 seconds from a dreadful back pass that went past the Hardwicke keeper hit the post and Dan Dodimead following in scored. A 25 yard drive from Adam Rosser on 15 minutes put the home side 2-0 up and in control. Hardwicke hit back and had a great chance cleared off the line by Henbury defender Ross Johnson on 21 minutes. Home keeper Dan O’Brien was then called upon to make several good saves to keep the visitors out. The visitor’s pulled a goal back on 59 minutes a good cross low across the 6 yard box swept home by Tobie Webb. On 75 minutes Hardwicke was level as Webb burst into the box had his shot saved by O’Brien but Will Matthews picked up the loose ball and knocked it home. Just 2 minutes later the visitor’s grabbed the winner from a free kick that was knocked in by Shaun Smith.

Little Stoke and Hanham Athletic shared a point a piece in a 1-1 draw at Little Stoke Park. The home side created several good chances in the first 45 minutes but could not break the visitors defence down. Home keeper Amin Jones was called upon to make several good saves to deny Hanham’s Adam Grinter. The visitors took the lead on 52 minutes after Jones had to push the ball away for a corner and from that corner Adam Grinter found the back of the Stoke net. The home side got the equaliser on 75 minutes from a Jordan Yeo free kick that found Nick Rugman and he drove his shot into the roof of the net. Hanham keeper Max Heaven was called upon to make two really good saves at the end to deny the home side grabbing a winner.
